As the summer season kicks into high gear, we are officially shifting our focus to incredible ocean Fall Chinook action and Gold Beach’s phenomenal bottom fishing (whenever the ocean conditions give us the green light).

Current Strategy: Brookings & The Rogue Bay
Right now, we are focusing most of our salmon fishing effort within a mile off of Brookings, OR. The salmon are holding heavy in this zone, and with Chetco Point protecting us from the prevailing northwest swells, we’ve been enjoying some incredibly calm, gentle water.
As the summer progresses, our game plan evolves to keep you on the bite:
- Late July – October: Transitioning inside to troll the legendary Rogue Bay and outside the mouth in the ocean for massive, fresh-run Kings.
