Coos Bay Salmon Fishing
King & Silver Salmon
A strong hatchery program makes Coos Bay a consistent producer of King Salmon
The largest bay on the Oregon Coast hosts an abundant run of fall king salmon as well as a strong run of wild sliver salmon. Most years, the wild Coho run is so strong that it justifies harvest. Averaging a smaller size that Rogue River salmon, Coos Bay can be one of the most productive Chinook fisheries in the state.
Season
Salmon enters Coos Bay in August, with the run peaking in September and early October.
